Treatment Focus
Our intention is to provide an atmosphere of trust and safety for the client to explore one’s issues and find new solutions to those problems. One of the most important things in our treatment is the principle of a partnership, whereby both parties work together to help the client feel whole, free, and more empathic towards oneself.
What You Can Expect
Sessions 1-4
At the first psychotherapy session, the therapist typically gathers information about your needs. In this session, the therapist will assist you in identifying your presenting problem, prioritizing concerns, and establishing measurable and realistic goals.
Curative Process of Psychotherapy
We view psychotherapy as a process whereby a client is assisted in exploring, understanding, and constructing his/her past experiences in more realistic and positive ways that help strengthen their self-image and belief in themselves. This process is achieved by creating a working environment of trust, acceptance, and non-judgmental space that helps a client be oneself and be guided to explore and integrate various dissociated/rejected aspects of self.
Patients Treated
We work with clients who suffer from a range of emotional problems, including difficulties with anger management, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal and family issues. I work with couples, families, children, and adult individuals. We provide individual, group, and family therapy as treatment modalities.
