Mental Injury
A mental injury can result when an employee is exposed to a physical injury or witnesses a stressful event to oneself or a co-worker. This can result in depression, anxiety, or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
A work-related accident can leave a patient struggling with physical injuries that hinder one’s everyday functioning and impede participating in ordinary activities enjoyed in the past, often leaving the patient feeling depressed, worried, anxious, worthless, guilty, and hopeless.
