Workers Compensation Statement
Were you injured at work or on the job and are experiencing psychological problems such as stress, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, PTSD, or panic attacks?
If so, you may be eligible for psychological treatment with a workers’ compensation psychologist or a social worker as part of the New York State’s Workers’ Compensation treatment program.
Workplace injuries may result in psychological conditions that require treatment. Some of these psychological problems include fear, stress, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic attacks, sleep problems, sleep disorders, relationship and intimacy issues, and anger management problems.
The team of New York State Licensed Workers’ mental health workers and psychologists have the experience and the training to help injured workers recover and heal from their emotional trauma and return them back to work and their previous level of functioning.
Rakipi Psychological Services uses a range of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), desensitization, exposure therapy, mindfulness training, deep breathing, and psychodynamic therapy. These treatments provide psychologically injured workers with the techniques and knowledge of how to identify and replace negative thoughts that perpetuate one’s emotional suffering and replace them with more supportive and constructive cognitions and behaviors.
Rakipi Psychological Services is dedicated to providing the injured worker with the most effective treatment interventions and helping them regain their sense of dignity and self-respect and helping them return to work and their normal functioning as early as possible.
Rakipi Psychological Services provides psychological evaluation and mental health treatment, and psychiatric services.
